G. Eyeball Anvil Used for testing tapered parts. When testing angular surfaces or parts, the flat can be rotated to allow alignment of the penetrator for contact with a flat surface. H. Diamond Spot Anvil For supporting thin, soft sheet metal. It has a flat polished diamond at the center. This anvil standardizes the friction effect between the anvil and the thin sheet metal as the sample deforms under the test load. I. Roller Anvil For supporting cylindrical work, this anvil has a capacity of 2" to 10" in diameter. The twin cylinders are each 2" long and 7/8" in diameter and are set 1 1/2" center to center. |
